In 2001, Robb Willis read a news article about the high cost of waste management in the multi-family housing industry. The article revealed the financial inefficiency of the business as well as the burden it was taking on owners, residents, haulers and the environment. An efficiency expert with twenty-five years of experience streamlining businesses, Robb set out to change the industry.
He began by reaching out to his friends in both the multi-family housing community and the trash hauling business. As he conducted contract and industry research, he began assembling a team of trash professionals that collectively knew all the finer points of waste management. A careful analysis of client portfolios, hauling fees and state regulations revealed numerous ways to cut costs, increase quality service, and consolidate contracts.
Within a year, TrashPro saved its first client over $190,000 in annual trash services, and within three years, that savings amounted to $600,000. To date, that same client has shaved over $4 million off their trash services, freeing up valuable funds to reinvest in other properties.
TrashPro currently handles over 800 properties with over 125,000 multi-family housing units. In addition to working with multi-family housing management and owners, TrashPro advises municipalities and counsels lawmakers and courts on the specifics of the waste management business. What started as a local business with one client has grown into a professional team operating in 37 states, DC, and the Caribbean with several premiere clients. In fact, TrashPro has the most extensive independent database in the country for analysis of local, regional and national solid waste costs for the multi-family industry.
Since 2001, the TrashPro team has saved clients over $7 million and dramatically changed the waste management industry.
